Riviera Martiri Della Liberta
Venice, WI IT 30031 Map It
Venice and Surroundings Area

The charming historical hotel, which dates back to the 18th century, perfectly reflects the splendour of the golden age of the Brenta Riviera-Venice. The building has been painstakingly restored, retaining all the original features of its historical and artistic heritage, including the traditional Venetian terrazzo floors, the 18th-century gilt-wood window pelmets, and the ceilings with the original exposed beams. The owners of this property, the Gasparini family, originally came from the Orient. These Oriental influences made a distinct impression on the Venetian style, as can be seen in the marquetry of the wood ornamentation and the partitions in the lobby. The air-conditioned building comprises a total of 15 rooms, a lobby area with a reception desk, room service, bicycle hire, and parking facilities for those arriving by car. Each room was exclusively designed and decorated in sumptuous 18th century Venetian style and shines with original gold-shot silk curtains, luxurious damasks, and rich red velvets. The en suite bathrooms feature a shower stall with Bossini accessories, a hairdryer, and a heated towel rail. Some of the chandeliers, which vary in design, are made from Murano glass. While a fantastic Ca'Rezonnico hangs in the lobby, other rooms feature chandeliers in early 20th century Venetian crystal. The hotel is the result of a harmonious balance created between past grace and elegance and the most modern conveniences, such as individually adjustable air conditioning, a minibar, Internet access and an LCD TV, designed to cater for the most discerning guests. A direct dial telephone, a radio, and a safe are also provided in all accommodation units as standard. This hotel is located just 10 m from the banks of the River Brenta. The centre of Dolo, with its restaurants, bars, and shopping amenities, is about a 20-minute walk away. In addition, this hotel is close to a public bus stop. It is about half an hour by bus to Venice and Padua. Numerous villages are scattered along the Brenta Riviera, full of art and culture, whose history dates back to the 17th century. Built by noble Venetian families over the centuries, the summer villas are true testaments to history and today represent the typical characteristics of this river and coastal region. The villas house countless treasures of Italian and Venetian art, and can be visited by bus, by car, by bikes or by boat. Culture and folk festivals take place all year round in these parts, such as the Degli Storti carnival in February, the regattas in May, the summer shows held in the villas, and the water procession in September. Tourists are also attracted by the wonderful, natural landscapes of the Riviera, the many parks and fields, and the atmosphere of the lagoon. In addition, the Riviera is situated only a few minutes from Venice and Padua, is near the beach and hills, and is the perfect base for tours into the surroundings.
